Pure Floral Waters
In Ayurvedic tradition, rose – named {shatapatri} in Sanskrit – is used to help balance emotions and regulate the 'fire element' found in anger or fever. Rose floral water is known for its hydrating and calming effect on the skin, and its uplifting effect on the mind.
The Kannauj Rose
What is special about the Kannauj Rose? ​
The Kannauj region has a temperate climate, fertile soil, and optimum elevation; the ideal environment for growing roses of the highest quality. These factors also contribute to the Kannauj rose’s exceptional fragrance.
The chemistry behind the romance
There are approximately 20 roses in every 200ml bottle. Each one has 20 to 25 petals, weighing around 7 grams each.
Method of extraction: Steam distillation​
This traditional artisanal method helps to preserve the authenticity and depth of the rose fragrance.
Harvesting place: Kannauj, a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.​
Period of harvest: March to June, peak season April to May.
Harvesting method: Once in bloom, the rose’s petals are plucked by hand early in the morning, when the fragrance is most concentrated.
How to apply Rose Floral Water
